Ricky Joy Sour Crush Candy bottles are being recalled because they pose a choking hazard. The rolling ball on the bottles can detach and be swallowed. No injuries or incidents have been reported to the company to date in connection with this problem. The recalling firm is International Trade Imports LLC (The Ricky Joy Company), doing business as Ricky Joy, of Cumming, Georgia.
There are about 2.3 million bottles of this product included in this recall. The product was manufactured in Colombia. You can see more pictures of the recalled products at the Consumer Product Safety Commission web site.
This recall is for Ricky Joy Sour Crush Rolling Liquid Candy bottles. The bottles contain 1.85 fluid ounces of sour liquid candy intended to be applied through the bottle’s rollerball top. The plastic candy bottles were sold individually and in packs of three or 12 bottles per pack, and in the following colors/flavors: blue (blue raspberry), red (strawberry), green (green apple) and pink (watermelon). The Ricky Joy logo, the phrases “EXTREME SOUR” and “SOUR CRUSH,” and the flavor name are printed on the front of the bottle along with the image of a green monster.
These items were sold at the retail level at HEB stores, Forman Mil and other candy stores nationwide, and were also sold online at Walmart, CandyFunHouse.com, RickyJoy.com and other online retailers from January 2023 through May 2026. The product sold for about $3.00 per bottle and for between $13.00 and $32.00 for the pack.
If you bought this product, stop using it immediately and take it away from children. Contact The Ricky Joy Company for a refund. You will be sent a pre-paid shipping label to return the recalled product.
