Multiexport Foods Recalls Smoked Salmon for Possible Listeria

The products recalled are Twin Pack Cold Smoked Salmon in 12 ounce packages. The Lot-Sublot-Batch Numbers are 931-59733-2, 933-59753-1, 933-59754-2, 875-701413-1, and 890-701413-1. The UPC number for this product is 6 88264 86705 0.  Also recalled is Paramount Reserve Cold Smoked Salmon in 1.25 pound packs. The Lot-Sublot-Batch Numbers for that product are 870-701342-1, 873-701342-1, 870-701344-1, 873-701360-1, 870-701364-1, 873-701364-1, 900-701344-1, 873-701344-1, 873-701360-1, 886-701413-1, 900-701413-1, 873-701344-1, and 870-701360-1. The UPC number for that product is 6 88264 86664 0.

Recall SignageThe products may have been sold in the following states: Alabama, Arkansas, Alaska, Arizona, California, Colorado, Connecticut, Delaware, Florida, Georgia, Hawaii, Iowa, Idaho, Illinois, Indiana, Kansas, Kentucky, Louisiana, Massachusetts, Maryland, Maine, Montana, Missouri, Mississippi, Nebraska, North Carolina, New Hampshire, New Jersey, New York, New Mexico, Nevada, Ohio, Oklahoma, Pennsylvania, Puerto Rico, South Carolina, Tennessee, Texas, Utah, Washington, Virginia, Wisconsin, and West Virginia. There is no word on whether there are any illnesses associated with this product.

Listeria monocytogenes can cause flu-like symptoms, including fever, muscle aches, upset stomach, diarrhea, headache, stiff neck, confusion, or convulsions. In pregnant women, the symptoms may be very mild, but can cause miscarriage and stillbirth. If you ate these products and are experiencing these symptoms, see your health care provider immediately. Listeriosis can be treated with antibiotics.
