Gift Shop at Buffalo Trace Distillery Sauces Recalled for Allergens

The Buffalo Trace Distillery is recalling several types of sauces because they contain wheat, soy, anchovy, and/or milk, all major food allergens. Anyone who eats these products and is allergic to those foods may have a serious or life-threatening reaction. No reports of illness have been reported to date. The recalled products include Bourbon Flavored Caramel Sauce, which contains milk and soy. It is sold in 8 ounces jars, with UPC number 795436001058 and best by date 2/16/14. Bourbon Flavored Fudge Sauce is recalled for milk and soy. It is sold in 8 ounce jars, with UPC number 795436001034 and best by date 1/30/14. In addition, Marinade for Meat is recalled for wheat, soy, and anchovy. It is packaged in 12 ounce bottles with UPC number 795436001072 and best by date of 10/30/14. Barbecue Sauce is recalled for soy and anchovy. It is in 16 ounce jars with UPC number 795436001065 and best by date of 1/19/15. Finally, Hot Barbecue Sauce is recalled for soy and anchovy. It is sold in 16 ounce jars with UPC number 795436000174 and best by date of 11/7/14.

The products were distributed to retail grocery stores, specialty stores, liquor stores, and sold on line in these states: AL, AZ, CA, CO, GA, IL, IN, KS, KY, LA, MD, MI, MO, NC, NE, NJ, NV, NY, OK, PA, SD, TN, TX, VA, WA, WI, WV, and also Wasa, British Columbia, Canada and West Midlands, UK. The products were sold from January 2012 to January 2013.
