Archer Farms, Fresh Market Cumin Recalled for Undeclared Peanut

B&M, Inc. of Mount Vernon, Mo. is recalling seasoning blends containing ground cumin sold under the brand names Archer Farms and The Fresh Market because they may contain undeclared peanut.  People with an allergy or severe sensitivity to peanuts run the risk of serious or life-threatening allergic reaction if they consume these products. The recalled products are sold at Target and The Fresh Market stores.

archer-farms-cumin-recallfresh-market-chili-powder-recallB&M, Inc. was notified by one of their suppliers that one lot of ground cumin and some of the seasonings containing this lot had potentially been contaminated with peanut protein. The products were shipped to retailers from December 1, 2014 through January 7, 2015.

The recalled Archer Farms product is ground cumin packaged in a 6oz clear square glass bottle with a silver metal cap and a label weight of 2.8oz (79g) lot numbers 3381403F and 3421406F,  best by date 05 JUN 2017 and09 JUN 2017 and UPC number 0-85239-02549-9.

The recalled The Fresh Market product is Dark Chili Powder is packaged in a 5×7 in clear square bags with a zipper seal and a label weight of 2.24oz (63.5g). with lot numbers 3581405R and 3641401R, Best By dates 25 JUN 2017 and 01JUL2017 and UPC numbers 7-37094-01841-2 and 7-37094-20425-9

No illnesses were reported in connection with these products at the time of the recall. Consumers concerned about a reaction should seek medical care.
