Harris Teeter Blue Cheese Jalapeno Seasoning Recalled for Undeclared Peanut

B&M, Inc. of Mount Vernon, Mo. is recalling Harris Teeter, HT Traders seasoning blends that contain ground cumin harris-teeter-spice-recallthat may contain undeclared peanut protein. People with an allergy or severe sensitivity to peanuts run the risk of serious or life-threatening allergic reaction if they consume these products. The recalled product was sold at Harris Teeter stores

B&M, Inc. was notified by one of their suppliers that one lot of ground cumin and some of the seasonings containing this lot had potentially been contaminated with peanut protein.

The products were shipped to retailers on December 1, 2014. The recalled Harris Teeter product is Blue Cheese Jalapeno Seasoning  packaged in a 6oz clear square glass bottle with a black metal cap and a label weight of 3.7oz (104.9g), lot number 3301401R, best by date 28 MAY 2017 and UPC 0-72036-71232-5.

No illnesses have been reported at the time of the recall. Consumers with concerns about a reaction should seek medical care.
