H-E-B Recalls Hill Country Fare Light Tuna in Oil

H-E-B is voluntarily recalling 224 cases of Hill Country Fare brand Chunk Light Tuna in Oil because the product, produced at a co-packer, may have been undercooked. This could result in contamination by spoilage organisms or pathogens, which could lead to life-threatening illness. There have been no reported illnesses to date in connection with the consumption of this product.

The recalled product is Hill Country Fare brand 5 ounce canned Chunk Light Tuna in Oil. It was sold at H-E-B Texas stores in single cans between February 24, 2016 and March 16, 2016. The UPC number is 0 4122065335 5, the product lot code is 6O9FZ SCEES, and the Best By date, printed on the bottom of the can, is 2/9/19.

If you purchased this product, do not eat it. Throw it away in a sealed container or return it to the store where you bought it for a full refund.
