McCain Early Riser Fritters Recalled for Foreign Materials

McCain Foods USA Inc. of Lisle, Ill. is recalling approximately 25,215 pounds of bacon fritters that may be contaminated with extraneous plastic materials. Consumers who have purchased these products should not eat them.

Recall SignageThe potato, egg, cheese, and bacon fritters were produced on Nov. 11, 2015, sold in 3.75-lb. plastic vacuum-packed packages with batch code 1001487402 labeled “McCain EARLY RISERS Potato, Egg, Cheese & Bacon Fritters.” The recalled products, distributed in Arkansas, Florida, Iowa, Indiana, Illinois, Kansas, Maine, Oklahoma, Ohio, Texas, Tennessee, and Utah and have the establishment number “EST. 18846” inside the USDA mark of inspection. The problem was discovered by a consumer complaint.
