More Recalls of Dark Chocolate Products for Undeclared Milk

More companies are recalling products for undeclared milk. New American Food Products is recalling many products sold at CVS, Hannaford, and other companies because they contain undeclared milk.  No illnesses have been reported.

The eleven recalled products were sold throughout the U.S. from 2/1/16 to 10/30/17. They include CVS Gold Emblem Dark Chocolate Espresso Beans in 2.25 ounce packages with UPC number 0504428576601, CVS Gold Emblem Dark Chocolate Espresso Bean in 5 ounce packages with UPC number 050428513583, CVS Gold Emblem Dark Chocolate Covered Ginger in 9 ounce packages with UPC number 050428540220, and CVS Gold Emblem Dark Chocolate Berries in 8 ounce packages with UPC number 0 50428 54100 5. Also recalled is Candy Break Espresso Beans in 2.75 ounce packages with UPC number 024354650049.

Ocean State Candy Break Dark Chocolate Ginger in 9 ounce packages with UPC number 024354501006 is recalled, along with Ocean State Candy Break Dark Chocolate Powerberries in 9 ounce packages with UPC number 024354501105. Hannaford Excellent Espresso Beans in 2.75 ounce packages with UPC number 041268206414 is also recalled. Market Basket Dark Chocolate Espresso Bean in 3 ounce packages with UPC number 049705168240 is recalled, along with Market Basket Dark Chocolate Almonds in 11 ounce packages and UPC number 049705169650. Finally,  Weighs Dark Chocolate Espresso Beans in 2.75 ounce packages is recalled. That product has UPC number 024354705206.

And Lipari Foods is recalling several types of these products for undeclared milk. No illnesses or reactions have been reported to date in connection with this issue.

You can see the long list of recalled products, along with the product number, pack/size, lot code, best by date, and UPC number at the FDA web site. They were distributed under the Weis and All Natural brand names or as generic product without branding. They were sold through retail stores in Alabama, Florida, Illinois, Indiana, Iowa, Kentucky, Louisiana, Michigan, Minnesota, Missouri, Nebraska, Ohio, Pennsylvania, South Carolina, Tennessee, Virginia, Wisconsin, and West Virginia.

The recalled products include coffee beans, raisins, almond bark, and almonds, among others. If you bought any of these items and cannot eat milk, don’t eat them. Throw them away or take them back to the place of purchase for a full refund.
