Thin ‘n Trim Chicken Sausage Buffalo Recalled for Allergen

Demakes Enterprises of Massachusetts is recalling about 32,228 pounds of fully cooked chicken sausage products because they contain milk, one of the major food allergens, that is not declared on the label. No illnesses have been reported to date in connection with this issue.

The recalled product is 10 ounce vacuum-sealed packages containing five pieces of “Thin ‘n Trim Fully Cooked Chicken Sausage Buffalo Style,” with use by dates from May 17, 2017 to December 6, 2017. The product has the establishment number “P-8891” inside the USDA mark of inspection. These items were shipped to retail locations in Connecticut, Maryland, Massachusetts, New Hampshire, New Jersey, New York, Ohio and Pennsylvania. It was produced and packaged between January 20, 2017 and August 10, 2017.

If you purchased this product and are allergic to milk or have lactose intolerance, do not eat it. Throw it away or take it back to the store where you bought it for a full refund.
