Zakah Life Recalls Kratom For Possible Salmonella Contamination

Zakah Life of Iowa is recalling Super Green Maeng Da Premium Kratom powder, Powerful Red Vein Bali Premium Kratom powder, Super Green Maeng Da Premium Kratom capsules, and Powerful Red Vein Bali Premium Kratom capsules for possible Salmonella contamination. No illnesses have been reported as of today in connection with this issue.

The recalled products were sold nationwide through mail order and in retail stores. They all have expiration dates before 01/01/2023. These recalled items include Super Green Maeng Da Premium Kratom Powder in 4 ounce black and clear organic rice paper bag that contains 100 grams of kratom with lot number BSG010118; Powerful Red Vein Bali Premium Kratom Powder in 4 ounce black and clear organic rice paper bags containing 100 grams, with lot number BPR010118; Super Green Maeng Da Premium Kratom Capsules in 275 cc plastic bottles containing 90 capsules with lot number SG050118; and Powerful Red Vein Bali Premium Kratom Capsules in 275 cc plastic bottles, each containing 90 capsules, with lot number PR050118.

Laboratory testing revealed the presence of Salmonella in some packages of this product. The company has suspended production while the FDA assists them in an investigation of the problem.

If you bought any of these products, do not consume them. Throw them away in a sealed or double wrapped package, or take them back to the store where you purchased them.

The symptoms of a Salmonella infection include nausea, vomiting, fever, abdominal and stomach pain, and diarrhea that may be bloody. If you consumed any of these four kratom products and have been ill, see your doctor.
