Vitamin Cottage Natural Food Markets of Lakewood, Colorado, is recalling Natural Grocers Organic Soybeans because they have the potential to contain mold. This business is a natural grocery store chain. No illnesses or adverse reactions of any kind have been reported in connection with this recall.

The recalled products is Natural Grocers Organic Soybeans packaged in 2 pound containers. The UPC number on the product is 000080663607, and the soybeans were packed on dates 19-168 and 19-205. This product was distributed to 154 Natural Grocers’ stores located in Arkansas, Arizona, Colorado, Iowa, Idaho, Kansas, Louisiana, Minnesota, Missouri, Montana, Nebraska, Nevada, New Mexico, North Dakota, Oklahoma, Oregon, Texas, Utah, Washington and Wyoming. Only packages with the packed on dates are subject to recall. Those dates are on the bottom left hand corner of the label.

Production of the product is suspended while the FDA and the company investigate the source of this issue. The potential for mold contamination was found after routine testing by the company.

If you purchased this product, do not eat it. Throw it away in a sealed container in a secure garbage can, or take it back to the place of purchase for credit or a full refund.
