Cheeses in Hello Fresh meal kits are being recalled in Canada for possible Listeria monocytogenes contamination. No illnesses have been reported to the company to date in connection with the consumption of these cheeses. The recalling firm is GDE Grocery Delivery E-Services Canada Inc. doing business as Hello Fresh and Chefs Plate.
These meal kits were sold nationally at the retail level. The cheeses do not have a brand name listed and none have a UPC number. You can see more pictures of the products at the Canadian Food Inspection Agency web site.
The recalled products include Shredded Parmesan Cheese packaged in 28 gram (1/4 cup) blue plastic bags. The code and best by date pairs are 571607805 BB 2026 AL 02; 152607702 BB 2026 AL 15; 152607801 BB 2026 AL 15; 152607803 BB 2026 AL 16; 152607811 BB 2026 AL 16; 152607813 BB 2026 AL 16; 152606510 BB 2026 AL 17; and 152607902 BB 2026 AL 17.
Also recalled is Shredded Parmesan Cheese sold in 56 gram (1/2 cup) blue plastic bags. The code and best by date pairs for this product are 571607806 BB 2026 AL 02; 152607703 BB 2026 AL 15; 152607812 BB 2026 AL 16; 152607802 BB 2026 AL 16; 152607814 BB 2026 AL 16; 152606509 BB 2026 AL 17; 551606506 BB 2026 AL17; and 152607901 BB 2026 AL 17.
Cheese Curds are also recalled. The curds are packaged in 113 gram (1 cup) plastic bags, with code and best by date pair 551606511 BB 2026 AL17. The same product in 56 gram (1/2 cup) packages is included in the recall; the code and best by date pair is 551606510 BB 2026 AL 17.
Feta Cheese is included in this recall. It is packaged in 28 gram (1/4 cup) plastic bags with code and best by date pair 152606513 BB 2026 AL 17. The same cheese in 56 gram (1/2 cup) plastic bags is included; the code and best by date pairs are 571607809 BB 2026 AL 02; 551606507 BB 2026 AL 17; 152606511 BB 2026 AL 17; and 152606512 BB 2026 AL 17.
Goat Cheese is also recalled. It is packaged in 56 gram plastic bags with code and best by date pair 551606509 BB 2026 AL 14. The same product in 28 gram (1/4 cup) plastic bags is also recalled; the code and best by date pair is 551606508 BB 2026 AL 14.
Finally, Mozzarella cheese is recalled. It is packaged in 85 gram (3/4 cup) plastic bags with code and best by date pair 571607807 BB 2026 AL 02. The same product in 170 gram (1-1/2 cup) plastic bags is also recalled; it has the code and best by date pair 571607808 BB 2026 AL 02.
If the Hello Fresh meal kits you purchased have any of these cheeses, do not eat them. You can throw them away in a secure trash can or contact the company for a return and refund.
