When high-powered magnets are swallowed, the ingested magnets can attract each other or other metal objects and become lodged in the digestive system. This can result in perforations, twisting, and/or blockage of the intestines, blood poisoning, and death. No injuries have been reported to the company to date in connection with this issue. The recalling firm is the importer, Ningbo Jiboyou Trading Co., Ltd. doing business as GBYMIUY, of China. The toy was manufactured in China.
The magnetic stick figure toy sets violate the mandatory standard for toys because the high powered magnets can come loose, posing an ingestion hazard. About 10,750 of these toys are included in this recall.
The recall is for GBYMIUY Magnetic Stick Figures toy sets. They were sold in packs of 30 multi colored transparent and opaque human shaped figures. Each figure measures about 2.91 inches tall by 2.3 inches wide. The figures have magnets in the hand and foot locations. The brand name “GBYMIUY” and the number X004TVHD2Z are printed on the product packaging.
These toys were sold on Amazon from April 2026 through July 2026. The cost was about $20.00.
If you bought this product, stop using it immediately and take it away from children. Contact the company for a full refund. You will be asked to throw the toy away and send a photo of the disposed toys to the company.
