If you bought this product, do not eat it, even if you plan to cook with it, because of the possibility of cross-contamination. You can throw the berries away in a secure garbage can after first double bagging or wrapping the package so others can’t see it, or you can take it back to the store where you purchased it for a full refund.
If you or a family member ate this product, especially if it was eaten uncooked, monitor your health for the symptoms of an E. coli infection or hemolytic uremic syndrome (HUS), which is a complication of the infection that mostly affects children under the age of five. If you or a family member do get sick, see your doctor.
