Einstein Bros. Honey Almond Cream Cheese Spread is being recalled because it contains almonds that are not declared in the ingredient list. The problem is that the cup of cream cheese has the wrong lid. Anyone who is allergic to almonds, or tree nuts, could have a serious reaction if they eat this item. No allergic reactions have been reported to the company to date in connection with the consumption of this product. The recalling firm is Schreiber Foods of Green Bay, Wisconsin.

This product was sold at the retail level in Einstein Bros. Bagel locations in the states of Colorado, Utah, New Mexico, and Wyoming. You can see more pictures of the mix up at the FDA web site.
The recalled item is Einstein Bros. Honey Almond Cream Cheese that is packaged in 6 ounce white cups. The product has a Honey Almond Lid with orange rings, and a Plain cup. The code on the bottom of the cup is Best If Used By July 21, 2026 LO.
While the lid correctly identifies the product as Honey Almond, the cup incorrectly identifies the product as Plain. The problem was a limited packaging staging issue.
If you bought this product and are allergic to almonds, do not eat it. You can throw it away in a secure trash can, or you can take it back to the store where you purchased it for a full refund.
