Magnetopia Magnetic Building Cubes and Blocks are being recalled because they pose a risk of serious injury or death from magnet ingestion hazard. No injuries have been reported to the company to date in connection with this problem. The recalling firm is HBT Ltd., doing business as Magnetopia, of Hong Kong. This toy was manufactured in China.

The recalled product is Magnetopia Magnetic Building Cubes and Blocks. These cubes contain magnets that can become loose if the cubes break or open, posing an ingestion hazard to children. When high-powered magnets are swallowed, the ingested magnets can attract each other, or other metal objects, and become lodged in the digestive system. This can result in perforations, twisting, and/or blockage of the intestines, blood poisoning, and death.
The recalled product is sold in sets of 60, 100, 150, and 200 cubes and blocks. The cubes contain small, powerful magnets that let them stick together to create 3D designs. The sets are available in a variety of theme building and landscape designs and colors. You can see the style name and model number of each of the 13 designs at the Consumer Product Safety Commission web site. The model numbers are on the back of the product packaging.
Some of the designs include Darkgrass, FireFarm, PinkHouse, Darkhouse, and Brown Farm, among others. You can see more pictures of the products at that web site
These toys were sold online at Magnetopia.com from April 2025 through October 2026 for between $20.00 and $40.00. There are about 7,600 units of this toy included in the recall.
If you bought this toy, stop using it and take it away from children immediately. Contact Magnetopia for a full refund. You will be given a pre-paid label to mail the cubes back to the company to get a refund.
