More Purity First Products Recalled for Controlled Substances

Last week consumers were warned not to consume Purity First Healthy Life Chemistry B-50 dietary supplements because they contained methasterone, a schedule III controlled substance, and dimethazine, an anabolic steroid. Now that recall has been extended to two more products by the company: Vitamin C capsules and Multi-Mineral capules for the same issue. The contaminated product could cause liver injury, increased blood lipid levels, increased risk of heart attack and stroke, masculination of women, shrinkage of the testicles, breast enlargement, infertility in males, and short stature in children.
