Nestle USA Recalling Nesquik for Possible Salmonella

Remember the recall of ground limestone for possible Salmonella contamination we told you about yesterday? Well, a derivative recall for a product made with limestone has been issued. Nestle USA is recalling more than 200,000 canisters of Nesquik chocolate milk powder that was made with food grade limestone.

Recall SignageNesquik sold in 10.9 ounce containers (19 servings) with UPC number 0 28000 67990  3 and production code of 2278574810 is recalled. The  21.8 ounce containers (38 servings) with UPC numbers 0 28000 68090 9 and production codes of  2278574810, 2278574820, 2279574810, 2279574820, 2284574820, 2284574830, 2285574810, 2285574820, 2287574820, 2289574810, and 2289574820  are also recalled. Finally, the 40.7 ounce canisters (72 servings) with UPC number of 0 28000 68230 9 and production codes of 2282574810 and 2282574820 are being recalled. The products were sold nationwide in early October. The products have an expiration date of October 2014. There have not been any illnesses reported associated with the consumption of this product.
