Puppy Starter Kit Dog Chews Recalled for Salmonella

FH Publications/Nylabone Products is recalling one lot of its Puppy Starter Kit dog chews because they may be contaminated with Salmonella. No illnesses have been reported to date in connection with this product.

Puppy Eating FoodThe recalled Puppy Starter Kit comes in a 1.69 ounce package. They were distributed nationwide, to Canada, and through one domestic online mail order facility. The product has Lot number 21935, the UPC numberĀ 0-18214-81291-3, and expiration date of 3/22/18 on the back of the package.

If you purchased this product, do not give it to your dog and do not handle it. Discard in a sealed container so other animals can’t eat it, then wash your hands well with soap and water. If your dog shows signs of illness, take him to the veterinarian. People can contract Salmonella by handling this product and then eating without washing their hands. Animals can also be carriers of Salmonella without showing any symptoms of ill health.

  1. My puppy has been on medication and special diet because of this. The vet didn’t know where he picked it up.Getting rid of these! Glad to know where it came from, just sucks he had to go through this :/
