H-E-B Recalls Chicken Thighs for Undeclared Allergens

H-E-B Met Plant in Texas is recalling about 1,150 pounds of diced chicken thighs for undeclared wheat, one of the major food allergens. Anyone who is allergic to wheat or who has celiac disease could have a serious reaction if they eat this product. There have been no confirmed reports of adverse reactions received to date.

The recalled products is 1.75 pound shrink wrapped packages of “MI TIENDA PARA TACOS DE POLLO CASERO SEASONED DICED SKINLESS CHICKEN THIGHS” with a freeze by/sell by date of Oct. 12, 2017. The products have the establishment number “P-7231” inside the USDA mark of inspection. They were shipped to retail locations in Texas.

If you bought this product and cannot eat wheat, don’t eat it. Throw it away or return it to the place of purchase for a full refund.
