The early symptoms of a food allergy reaction can include tingling of the mouth, lips, and tongue, an itchy feeing in the tongue, lips, and mouth, nasal congestion, and hives and itching. In severe cases, symptoms may include swelling of the lips, face, tongue, and throat and other parts of the body, abdominal pain, trouble breathing, and dizziness and lightheadedness.
