Coolhaus Dairy Free Horchata Sandwich Recalled For Undeclared Milk

Coolhaus is voluntarily recalling its Dairy Free Horchata Frozen Dessert Sandwich because it may contain milk, one of the major food allergens, that is not declared on the label. Anyone who is lactose intolerant or who is allergic to milk protein may have a serious reaction if they eat this product. One customer complaint has been reported to date, but the recall notice did not state whether it was just a complaint or an allergic reaction.

The recalled product is Coolhaus Day Fee Horchata Sandwich, and it was sold in grocery stores nationwide. The voluntary recall is limited to one SKU, and does not apply to any other Coolhaus Dairy Free sandwiches or pints. The only affected UPC number is 0085191600365. The frozen dessert sandwich is sold in a 5.8 ounce single serve package. The best by dates on the product are 06182020, 08012020, 08252020, 10082020, or 10262020.

If you purchased this product and are allergic to milk or are lactose intolerant, do not eat it. Throw it away or take it back to the store where you purchased it for a full refund.

Symptoms of an allergic reaction can range from mild, such as tingling of the mouth, lips, and tongue, to severe, such as swelling of the mouth, face, or tongue, itching hives, or difficulty breathing. Anyone who is experiencing any of those symptoms of an allergic reaction should see a doctor.
