No reports of illness have been received by the company to date in connection with the consumption of these items. These items are fully cooked and not shelf stable. The recalling firms are Taylor Farms and Greencore USA/Bakkavor USA. The USDA expects that more products will be identified as this recall progresses and will issue updates. These jalapeños were distributed by a company with a connection to a multistate Salmonella outbreak.

The brand names of the recalled products include Deli Kitchen, H-E-B, Higher Harvests for H-E-B, Marketside, Meal Simple, RaceTrac, Ready Meals, Taylor Farms, and Wawa. Some of the recalled items include Spicy Chipotle Chicken Wrap, Classic Beef Burrito, Chicken Verde Burrito, Pork Chile Verde Bowl, Beef Barbacoa Bowl, Chile Lime Rice Chicken Bowl, Chipotle Cheddar Chicken Wrap, Shake Rattle Bowl Southwest Chicken, and Chicken and Beef Chimichurri, among others.
If you bought any of those products with those brand names and numbers, do not eat them, even if you plan to reheat them thoroughly, because of the possibility of cross-contamination. You can throw them away in a secure trash can with a tight fitting lid after first double bagging or wrapping them so other people can’t see them, or you can take them back to the store where you purchased them for a full refund.
If you ate any of these items, monitor yourself for the symptoms of Salmonella food poisoning for the next week. If you do get sick, see your doctor.
