The Chili Station Recalls Chili Produced Without Benefit of Inspection

The USDA announced today that the Chili Station, a Ludlow, Massachusetts establishment, is recalling about 3,800 pounds of chili products because they may have been produced without the benefit of federal inspection.

Product details:

  • 5 gallon containers and 1-gallon bags of “The Chili Station” Beef Chili with Beans
  • 5 gallon containers and 1-gallon of “The Chili Station” Beef Chili with Beans and/or Turkey Chili
  • Case labels or packaging may bear the establishment numbers “EST. 6380” or “P-6380” inside the mark of inspection or ink-jetted on the case label
  • Products were sold in Massachusetts

There have been no reports of illness in connection with consumption of these products. The problem was discovered during a routine Food Safety Assessment conducted by FSIS. This is a Class I hazard, where there is a reasonable probability that the use of the product will cause serious, adverse health consequences or death.
