The retail distribution list for the recall of Rancho Feeding Corporation beef for unwholesomeness has been released. The USDA states that the list may not include all locations that received the product, or may include locations that didn’t receive it, but this is their best estimation of a list.
The recall was for beef that was processed from “diseased and unsound animals” and the meat was processed without federal inspection. The 8.7 million pounds of meat was sold in stores in California.
The stores where the beef was most likely sold include Brown’s Valley Market on Browns Valley Road in Napa; La Morenita on Jefferson in Napa; Vallergas Market on 1st Street in Napa; Apple Market on San Marin Drive in Novato; Buds Meats on Petaluma Hill Road in Penngrove; and G&G on Sonoma Mountain Pkwy in Petaluma. Other stores that received the beef include Petaluma Market on Western Avenue in Petaluma; Carniceria Coalcoman on Maple Avenue in Santa Rosa; Carniceria Contreras on Todd Road in Santa Rosa, and G&G on W. College Avenue in Santa Rosa. Finally, Willowside Meats on Guernville Road in Santa Rosa and Sonoma Market on W. Napa in Sonoma, California are on the list.
If you purchased any of the recalled products, do not eat them. Return them to the place of purchase for a refund.
