AA Poultry Recalled for Unapproved Processing Chemical

aa-poultry-recallAA Poultry Processing of Ridgeland, Wis. is recalling approximately 2,191 pounds of chicken and 21 pounds of turkey products that may have been contaminated with trichloro-s-triazinetrione, a disinfectant not approved for use in poultry processing.

These products should not be eaten or sold.

The recalled poultry, sold as whole and cut chicken and turkey pieces, was produced on various dates from May 4, 2015 through May 11, 2015. The establishment number “P-45525” appears inside the USDA mark of inspection.  The recalled poultry was brought live to the establishment for processing,  and the carcasses were returned to their original owners in Wisconsin after processing.
