Lindt Recalls Chocolate For Undeclared Hazelnuts

Lindt is recalling one product lot of its Chocolate Covered Raisin Bags and Chocolate Covered Almond Bags because they may contain hazelnuts, a food allergen, that is not declared on the label. Anyone who is allergic to hazelnuts could have a serious reaction if they consume these products. No reactions have been reported to date.

The recalled products are Chocolate Covered Raisins in a 6.4 ounce standup bag. The lot code is L2975 and the best before date is 4-30-2015. Also recalled is Chocolate Covered Almonds in a 6.4 ounce standup bag with lot code L2975 and best before date of 4-30-2015. The bags were for sale in nine Lindt Chocolate Shop locations in the U.S. between January 23 and March 16, 2015. You can see the names and addresses of the stores at the FDA web site.

If you purchased these products and are allergic to hazelnuts, do not eat them. Discard or return to the place of purchase for a refund.
