More Pie and Tart Shells Recalled in Canada for E. coli O121

The Canadian Food Inspection Agency (CFIA) is recalling more pie shells and tart shells for possible E. coli O121 contamination. Both of the recalls cover these products sold in Ontario.

The first is an update of a recall issued on June 23, 2017. You can see the long list of recalled products, with the brand name, common name, size, product codes, UPC numbers, product photos, and where they were sold at the CFIA web site. Brand include Schnurr’s and HomeStyle Flavours, The second recall updates the information in the updated recall and includes more brand names, including Apple Valley, Cloverleaf Farms Food, Remark Fresh Markets, Schmidt’s Bulk Pantry, and Wallenstein.

If you purchased these products, do not eat them even if you plan to bake them. Throw them away in a double bagged package or sealed garbage can, or take them back to the place of purchase for a refund.
