Martha White Gluten Free Cornbread Muffin Mix Recalled For Gluten

Hometown Food Company is recalling Martha White Gluten Free Sweet Cornbread Muffin Mix because it may contain undeclared gluten. Anyone who is sensitive to gluten or who has celiac disease could have a serious reaction if they eat this product. No reactions have been reported to date in connection with this recall. Two specific lots of the product, which total about 374 cases, are being recalled.

Standard quality batch testing conducted by the company indicated the presence of gluten derived from wheat, rye, barley, or crossbreeds of these grains, in these products. These products were distributed nationwide through two retailers, which were not named in the recall notice.

The recalled products are Martha White Gluten Free Sweet Cornbread Muffin Mix in 8 ounce packages, with case item code 1 1330082014 5,  UPC number 0 1330082014 8, lot code 9 204, and BIUB (best if used by) date JAN 23 2021. Also recalled is Martha White Gluten Free Sweet Cornbread Muffin Mix, also in 7 ounce packages, with case item code 1 1330082014 5,  UPC number 0 1330082014 8, lot code 9 205, and BIUB date JAN 24 2021.

No other Martha White or Hometown Food Company products are affected by this recall. Best if used by dates can be found on the back of the product pouch.

If you purchased either of these products and cannot eat gluten for whatever reason, don’t eat it. Throw the package away, or take it back to the place of purchase for a full refund.
