Sabra Hummus Recalled for Listeria

Sabra Dipping Co. of Colonial Heights, VA is recalling 30,000 cases of Classic Hummus for possible Listeria contamination.The recalled products were sold nationwide. Consumers who have purchased this product should not eat it as Listeria can cause serious illness and death. At the time of the recall, no illnesses had been reported in connection with this product. Symptoms of a Listeria infection can take 70 days to develop. They include high fever, severe headache, muscle stiffness, nausea, abdominal pain and diarrhea. Listeria infections can cause miscarriages and stillbirths among pregnant women. The code and "use by" dates are on the top of each of the recalled products. Hope Foods Recalls Kale Pesto Hummus for Undeclared Walnuts

Hope Foods is voluntarily recalling one specific lot of Kale Pesto Hummus because it contains undeclared walnuts. People with allergies or severe sensitivities to walnuts run the risk of serious or life threatening allergic reaction if they consume the product. The recalled product was distributed in 8 oz plastic tubs, with a Best By date of 05/04/15 and Lot Code of 030215-KP  on the side of the lid. The unit UPC is 8-56500-00426-6.
