Latis Brand Herring and Salmon Recalled for Possible Listeria

Prime Food USA of New York is recalling three types of fish fillets packed in oil because they may be contaminated with Listeria monocytogenes. No illnesses have been reported to date in connection with the consumption of this product, but Listeria infections can take 70 days to appear after contact.

The recalled products include Latis Brand Herring Fillet “Matiej” in 17.64 ounce (500 gram) plastic containers. This product has a partial code 01.14 and UPC numberĀ 7541004076916. Salmon Fillet Slices are also recalled; they are in 7.5 ounce plastic containers. The code for that product is 15.07.13(17JL). Finally, Herring Fillet “Forelka” in Oil in 11.64 (330 gram) containers is recalled. That product has a code of 07.01.14(09JR). The products were sold in New York State and are imported from Latvia.
