Sandwich Recall at 7-Eleven Stores for Undeclared Nuts

HC Schau and Son of Illinois is recalling 3,422 individual sandwiches because they may contain pine nuts. Anyone with an allergy or severe sensitivity to pine nuts or tree nuts could have a serious or life-threatning reaction if they consume this product. No illnesses or reactions have been reported to date.

The recalled product is 8 ounce units of “Fresh to Go Tuscan Style Combo on Tomato Basil Bread”. The UPC number isĀ 52548548322. Only packages marked with these “best by” dates are affected: 2/28/14, 3/1/14, 3/2/14, 3/3/14, and 3/4/14. The sandwiches were sold at 7-Eleven stores in Illinois, Indiana, and Wisconsin.

The recall was initiated after production reports review showed that the product was made using Sun Dried Tomato pesto with pine nuts. If you purchased this product and are allergic to pine nuts, do not eat it. Return it to the place of purchase for a refund.
