Price Chopper Recalling Cheesecakes with Undeclared Egg

Price Chopper Supermarkets, based in Schenectady, New York, is voluntarily recalling Price Chopper Cheesecake from its bakery because they contain eggs and that is not listed on the ingredient label. Eggs are one of the eight major allergens. Their presence in a product requires a label on the front product panel.

Product details:

  • Three varieties of Price Chopper 24-ounce French cheesecake, including these flavors:
    • Raspberry with UPC 41735-22898
    • Blueberry with UPC 41735-22908
    • Strawberry with UPC 41735-22910
  • Sold in Price Chopper bakeries between November 29, 2011 and December 20, 2011

No illnesses have been reported in association with the consumption of this product. The cheesecakes do not pose any risk to people who aren’t allergic to eggs.

Return the product to Price Chopper for a full refund. If you have questions, call 1-800-666-7667, option 3.
