Andante Dairy Cheeses Recalled

The California State Department of Health is recalling multiple lots of cheeses made by Andante Dairy in Petaluma. The farm is also under a quarantine order, according to California State Veterinarian Dr. Annette Whiteford.

RecallAuthorities have determined that the cheeses were not properly pasteurized, so dangerous pathogens could survive. No illnesses have been reported in association with any of the dairy’s products.

The recalled lots of cheeses were sold in sizes from 5 to 8 ounces and have no code date. They were sold primarily to retail markets, restaurants and cheese shops in California, with limited distribution in Chicago and New York.

There are three cheeses that are exempt from the quarantine: Musette, Tomme Dolce, and Etude. If you have any other cheese types from Andante Dairy, discard them.
