Wisconsin Firm Recalls Cooked Pork Hocks for Undeclared Wheat

A firm in Milwaukee, Wisconsin, Han Yang Inc. is recalled 25,600 pounds of cooked pork hocks because of misbranding and an undeclared allergen. The products contain wheat that is not listed on the ingredient label.

Product details:

  • “JANG CHUNG DONG HAN YANG KING JOAK BAL COOKED PORK HOCKS”
  • Shrink wrapped packages
  • Establishment number “EST. 21880 inside the USDA mark of inspection.
  • Product has a four month shelf life.
  • Produced between October 7, 2011 and February 7, 2012
  • Distributed for wholesale and retail use in Los Angeles, California and Chicago, Illinois.

The problem was discovered by a USDA Food Safety and Inspection Service inspector during a label review. There have been no adverse reactions or illnesses associated with the consumption of this product. If you are allergic to wheat, do not eat this product.
