Fast Classics Fried Chicken Breasts Recalled for Foreign Materials

Advance Pierre Foods of Oklahoma is recalling 1,200 pounds of chicken fried chicken breasts that may contain small pieces of metal. The company received two consumer complaints. A small metal hand tool apparently fell into a grinder at the facility. Metal detectors at the facility discovered the problem, but product was packaged and shipped before all affected chicken was diverted. There are no reports of injury associated with the consumption of this product.

The recalled food is 22.75-ounce pouches of Fast Classics Chicken Fried Chicken Breasts and cases containing six 22.75-ounce pouches of Fast Classics Chicken Fried Chicken Breasts. The product has the establishment number “P-2260Y” inside the USDA mark of inspection, and a “best by” date of Jan. 22, 2014, a lot number 1522960202, and UPC number 75901-33100. The chicken was distributed in Kansas, Louisiana, Missouri, Oklahoma, and Texas.
