Fully Cooked Meat and Poultry Products Recalled for Possible Listeria

LJG Holdings Inc., doing business as B and D foods of Idaho is recalling 33,500 pounds of fully cooked meat and poultry products because they may be contaminated with Listeria monocytogenes. No illnesses have been reported in connection with the consumption of these products. The problem was discovered by the company through microbiological testing. the products were sold to foodservice and/or institutional customers.

Recall SignThe recalled products include 10 pound boxes, each containing 2 five pound bags of “ROYAL “THE TEMPURA KING” ROYAL TEMPURA CHICKEN, Fully Cooked Tempura Chicken Breast.” The identifying code is A-4615. It was distributed in California, Colorado, Idaho, Oregon, Utah, and Washington. Also recalled are 10 pound boxes containing 2 five pound bags of “BLINGS! CHICKEN BREAST WITH PARMESAN FLAVORING” with an identifying code of A-4844. It was distributed to Idaho and Montana.

Also recalled are 10 pound boxes containing 2 five pound bags of “STEAKHOUSE TEMPURA SEASONED BEEF & BINDER STRIPS” with identifying code of A-107-10, distributed in Idaho and Montana. 30 pound boxes of “KETTLE COOKED CHICKEN BREAST PIECES” with identifying code of A-3900 were distributed in Ohio are recalled. And finally, 30 pound boxes of “FULLY COOKED PORK STRIPS” with an identifying code of A-3025-30 were distributed to a customer in Arizona and California.

The products have establishment number “EST. 6266” or “Est. P-6266” inside the USDA mark of inspection. They also have identifying case codes of “110622” they were produced on December 6, 2012.
