Herbalife International of America is recalling its Instant Heathy Meal Nutritional Shake Mix packets because they are labeled dairy-free, when they may contain milk proteins. Milk is one of the major food allergens, and its presence must be declared on the label. There have been no reports to date of any illness or adverse health effects associated with the consumption of this product.
The Mix was distributed from January 16, 2013 through February 16, 2013 in the United States through individual independent distributors as cartons of 12 packets or as single-serving packets in the company’s introductory business pack. Lot numbers for the single-serving packets are 133405G10, 133408G10, and 133409G10.
