HyVee Chocolates Recalled for Undeclared Peanuts

Palmer Candy Company of Iowa is recalling 102 cases of HyVee chocolates because they may contain undeclared peanuts, one of the major food allergens. Anyone with an allergy to peanuts could have a serious or life-threatening reaction if they eat these products. No illnesses have been reported in connection with the consumption of these products.

The recalled products are HyVee Chocolate Caramel Clusters with UPC number 7723212515 sold in a 9 ounce plastic tub. The lot code is Sell By: 04/07/14 F30202 on the bottom of the tub. Also recalled is HyVee Chocolate Covered Caramels with UPC number 7723212520 in a 12 ounce plastic tub. The lot code is 10/07/14 F30202 on the bottom of each tub. If you purchased these products and are allergic to peanuts, return to the place of purchase for a refund.
