Lisy Corporation of Florida is recalling some of its seasoning blends because they contain soy, one of the major food allergens, that is not declared on the label. No illnesses have been reported to date. You can see all of the product labels at the FDA web site.
The recalled products include LIiy Sazon Perfecta – Perfect Seasoning – in 4 ounce bottles with UPC number 096786600459; the 12 ounce bottle with UPC number 096786500063, and 24 ounce bottle with UPC number 096786300144. Those products were distributed starting on 3/21/2011. Lisy Adobo All Purpose Seasoning with Pepper – Adobo Con Pimienta – is recalled in 5 ounce bottles with UPC number 096786600466, 14 ounce bottles with UPC number 096786500254, and 32 ounce bottles with UPC number 096786300106. Those products were distributed starting on 3/9/2011. Also recalled is Lisy Adobo All Purpose Seasoning without Pepper – Adobo Sin Pimienta – in the 5 ounce bottle with UPC number 096786600473, 14 ounce bottle with UPC number 096786500261 and the 32 ounce bottle with UPC number 096786300113 with distribution dates starting on 9/5/2011.
Lisy Seasoned Meat Tenderizer – Sazonador De Carnes – is recalled in 5 ounce bottles with UPC number 096786600503, 14 ounce bottles with UPC number 096786500315 and 28 ounce bottles with UPC number 096786300076 with distribution dates starting on 3/7/2011. Finally, Lisy Fajita Seasoning – Sazon Fajita – is recalled in 5 ounce bottles with UPC number 096786600541, 14 ounce bottles with UPC number 096786500056 and 28 ounce bottles with UPC number 096786300700. Distribution dates for that product started 3/25/2011.
The products were distributed nationwide in retail stores. There are no lot numbers on the products. Any products purchased from March 1, 2011 to March 27, 2013 should be returned to the place of purchase for a refund.
