Nestlé Pizza Company of Wisconsin is recalling an undetermined amount of frozen pizzas that may be contaminated with foreign materials. The firm received consumer complaints that small fragments of plastic were found in pizza crust. One person has chipped a tooth on the plastic. The fragments are of clear, brittle plastic, in irregular triangles, and may have sharp edges. You can see all of the product labels of the recalled products at the FDA site.
The recalled pizzas are DiGiorno© pizzeria!™ Bianca/White Pizza with UPC number 71921 91484 and production code 3068525951. California Pizza Kitchen (CPK) Crispy Thin Crust White© pizza is also recalled, with UPC number 71921 98745 and production codes are 3062525951, 3062525952 and 3063525951. California Pizza Kitchen® Limited Edition Grilled Chicken with Cabernet Sauce is also recalled; that UPC number is 71921 00781 and production code is 3059525952. Finally, DiGiorno© Crispy Flatbread Pizza Tuscan Style Chicken is recalled, with UPC number 71921 02663 and production codes 3057525922 and 3058525921. All pizzas were produced between February 26 and March 9, 2013 and were shipped to retail establishments nationwide.
