In Canada, Brown Rice Rolls Recalled for Allergen

The Canadian Food Inspection Agency and Fair Trading Co. are recalling Pei Tien brown rice rolls because they may contain undeclared milk, one of the food allergens. Those with an allergy to this ingredient could have a serious allergic reaction if they consume these products. There is no word on whether or not any illnesses have been reported.

Recall SignageThe recalled products are Pei Tien Konjac Brown Rice Roll (Egg) in 160 gram packages. The code on the product is 05.06.2015.E1 and the UPC number is 4 711162 821520. Also recalled is Pei Tien Konjac Brown Rice Roll (Seaweed) in 160 gram packages. The code on the product is 09.01.2015.E1 and the UPC number is 4 711162 821575.

If you purchased these products and are allergic to milk, discard them or return to the place of purchase for a refund. The products were sold in Ontario at the retail level.
