In Canada, Dark Chocolate Cherries Recalled for Undeclared Peanut

The Canadian Food Inspection Agency and Foodfest International 2000 Inc. are recalling dark chocolate cherries because they may contain undeclared peanuts. People with an allergy to peanuts could have a life-threatening allergic reaction if they eat this product. No reports of reactions have been received in connection with the consumption of this product.

The recalled product is “next by Nature” Dark Chocolate Cherries in 85 gram containers. The codes on the product are Lot 460013 and Best by: 2016.03.31. The UPC number isĀ 8 17582 25200 6 They were sold in Ontario at the retail level.

If you bought these cherries and are allergic to peanuts, do not eat them. Throw them away or return them to the place of purchase for a refund.
