In Canada, Kan’s Pakoras Recalled for Undeclared Gluten and Wheat

The Canadian Food Inspection Agency and Kan’s Gourmet Foods are recalling Pakoras that contain wheat and gluten that are not declared on the label. Anyone with an allergy or severe sensitivity to those ingredients, and anyone with celiac disease or gluten intolerance could have a serious reaction if they consume this product.

Recall SignageThere is no word on whether any illnesses or allergic reactions have been reported to date. There is also no picture of the product or the product label available.

The recalled product is Kan’s Gourmet Foods Spinach and Kale Pakoras in 2 x 5 pound containers. The code on the product is 11140402. There is no UPC number for the product. The product was sold in British Columbia at the retail level. Pakoras are fritters made of vegetables that are fried.

If you purchased this item and are allergic to gluten and/or wheat, or have celiac disease, do not eat it. Discard or return to the place of purchase for a refund.
