Stawnichy’s Recall for Undeclared Allergens Expands

In Canada, the recall for undeclared milk, wheat and soy for Stawnichy’s products has expanded to include more foods. Soup products are now included in the recall; they contain milk, wheat, and soy that are not declared on the label. Anyone with an allergy or severe sensitivity to those products could have a serious or life-threatening reaction if they consume these foods. No illnesses or allergic reactions have been reported to date.

The recalled products include Stawnichy’s Beet Soup and Cabbage Soup. No size is indicated, and there is no UPC number. All best before dates where milk, wheat, and soy do not appear on the label are recalled. The company also sold Beet Soup and Cabbage Soup to hotels, restaurants, and institutions in 4 liter containers; those are also recalled. The soups were sold in Alberta, Canada.

If you purchased these products and are allergic to milk, wheat, and/or soy, do not eat them. Return them to the place of purchase for a recall or discard them.
