Shop & Shop Supermarket Company LLC has removed Ian’s All Natural Italian Style Panko Breadcrumbs made by Elevation Foods because the tagline “allergy-friendly, gluten free” is misleading. The product does contain wheat, one of the major food allergens, that is listed on the ingredient label, but wheat contains gluten. The product is safe to eat for anyone who is not allergic to wheat or is not a celiac patient.
The recalled product is Ian’s All Natural Italian Style Panko Bread Crumbs in a 9 ounce package. The UPC number is 74951277220 and the expiration dates are 31MAY15, 11OCT15, and 17OCT15. No reports of illness or allergic reactions have been received to date.
If you purchased this product and are allergic to wheat or have celiac disease, do not eat it. Discard or return to the place of purchase for a refund.
