Spice Mill Recalls Cumin, Cajun Seasoning for Peanuts

The Spice Mill of Connecticut is recalling ground cumin and Cajun Seasoning products because they may contain undeclared peanut proteins. Anyone with an allergy to peanuts could have a life-threatening allergic reaction if they consume these products. No illnesses have been reported to date.

Spice MIll Cajun Seasoning Peanut RecallThe recalled items are Ground Cumin in 2.75 ounce plastic bottles with UPC numberĀ 811267012008, lot number 55996 and best by dates of 11/16, 12/16, and 1/17. Also recalled is Cajun Seasoning in 4 ounce plastic bottles with UPC numberĀ 811267011735 and lot number 1432421 with best by dates of 12/16 and 1/17. They were packaged in November and December 2014 and January 2015. The bottles have a black flip-top lid.

The products were sold at local markets in Connecticut and through The Spice Mill’s website and retail store in Manchester, Connecticut. If you purchased these products and are allergic to peanuts, don’t eat them. Discard or return to the place of purchase for a refund.
