Unibright Recalls Beef and Pork Contaminated with Metal

Unibright Foods of California is recalling 48,139 pounds of frozen, ready-to-eat sukiyaki beef and gingered pork products that may contain metal materials. No reports of injury or illness related to the consumption of these products has been reported to date.

The recalled products are 2.2 pound packages of “MISHIMA SUKIYAKI BEEF” with the establishment number “EST.1163” inside the USDA mark of inspection. The package ID number is “15069”. Also recalled is 1.7 pound packages of “MISHIMA GINGERED PORK” with the establishment number “EST.1163” inside the USDA mark of inspection. The package ID number of this product is “15059”.

The beef was produced between August 12, 2014 and December 16, 2014. The gingered pork product was produced between August 5, 2014 and August 6, 2014. They were shipped to retail outlets and institutions in Arizona, California, Colorado, Hawaii, Illinois, New Jersey, and New York.

If you purchased these products, do not eat them. Discard or return to the place of purchase for a refund.
