Chocolate Hazelnut Butter CLIF Bar Recalled for Plastic Pieces

Clif Bar & Company is recalling one production run of Chocolate Hazelnut Butter CLIF® Nut Butter Filled energy bars because of small plastic pieces found in some of them. That represents a choking hazard. There have been no reports of injuries as a result of this issue. The recall is dated November 18, 2016, but was just announced by the FDA.

The recalled products are individual bars of Chocolate Hazelnut Butter CLIF® Nut Butter Filled energy bars with “best by” dates of 10JUN17N4 or 11JUN17N4; and 12-count caddies of Chocolate Hazelnut Butter CLIF® Nut Butter Filled energy bars with “best by” dates of 10JUN17N4 or 11JUN17N4. The UPC numbers are: for the Bar: 7-22252-26800-6; for the
12-count Caddy: 7-22252-36800-3; and for the Case: 00722252-56800-7.

If you purchased these products, do not eat them. Throw them away or take them back to the place of purchase for a refund.
