Fresh Express Romaine Salad Recalled for Undeclared Allergens

Fresh Express is recalling 100 cases of their Hearts of Romaine Salad because it may contain egg, milk, wheat, and anchovy. Anyone allergic to those ingredients could have a serious reaction if they eat this product. No illnesses have been reported to date.

A condiment packet for Fresh Express Greek Caesar Salad was mistakenly added to Fresh Express Hearts of Romaine Salad. The condiment is in a separate clear package labeled “Greek Caesar,” but the ingredients are not listed on the label.

The recalled product is 9 ounce Fresh Express Hearts of Romaine Salad, distributed in Maryland. The product codes are H34711A or H34711B and the use by date is December 27, 2016. The UPC number on the product is 0 71279 26102 7.

If you purchased this product and cannot eat wheat, milk, egg, or fish, do not eat it. Throw it away or return it to the store where you bought it for a refund.
